Situation and Problems of Flue Gas Treatment Facilities of MSW Incinerators

Abstract

In order to deal with complex characteristics, flue gas treatment facilities have become larger in recent years. They cause land shortage and cost problems. Many of municipal corporations are striving to draw out the maximum ability of their facilities by strict-controlled operation. On the other hand manufacturers of incinerators are developing effectual facilities.

Therefore the government has started researching of High Quality Compact Gas Treatment Systems. The Japan Waste Research Foundation has undertaken this and has oraganized a research project.

Situation and problems of flue gas treatment facilities of municipal solid waste incinerators were investigated and discussed in the project. This review provides a part of the results of investigation.
