Abstract

The rare metals have many advantages in high technology fields. These rare metals resources are mostly imported from abroad by Japan. Recycling of selenium, antimony, beryllium, tellurium, thallium, gallium and rare earths are described in this paper. Rare metals are recovered from a few industrial wastes containing rare metals, but no resource recycling of rare metals is done from waste of high technology goods. The recovery of recycled rare metals has been increasing in importance, from the viewpoint of resource conservation.
