Present Outlook on the Amendments to the London Convention 1972 and Its Annexes

Abstract

Annexes to the London Convention 1972, which regulates the dumping at sea of wastes or other matter, to prevent marine pillution, were amended at the 16th Consultative Meeting held in November 1993. In addition a through review of the London Convention 1972 towards amending the Convention and its Annexes is in progress. In this paper, the present outlook on the amendments to the London Convention 1972 and its Annexes is explained.
