Abstract

Systems approach can be effectively applied to solid waste management planning. Systems planning has the meaningful role of standardizing the planning process as a result of scientific and objective discussion with a solid waste management plan by systems approach. The objective of this paper is to investigate the systems planning of solid waste management by systems approach to achieve a recycling-type social system which considers solid waste management planning for controlling the source of solid waste. In this paper, standardization of planning by clarifying the elements of a plan is discussed applying the systems approach to the analysis and synthesis process of planning. Moreover, the applicability of systems approach is realized analyzing the case study for the image plan of solid waste management which is formulated by this approach. Finally, the integration of a solid waste management plan with other related urban planning, environmental planning, etc. is an important viewpoint. This integration is also essentially discussed by the systems approach.
