Abstract

In this paper, the newly proposal evaluation on the waste landfill site was discussed from the standpoint of soil science and soil biology. The waste landfill sites are not artificially reclaimed lands, where there must be a suitable performance and function of soil characters. However, our experimental results showed that; soil biota and/or biomass of the landfill sites were still poor in comparison to than those of natural lands. Also, the soil bio-activities were lowered with the number of soil organisms. The recovery to the function of natural soil is brought forth by soil organic matter. Their characters are formedby the action of animals and microorganisms in soils.
