Abstract

Since enviromental problems are being given so much attention recently, the recycling of refuse (resources) is demanded as a necessity. Refuse derived fuel is given attention as one energy recovery refuse treatment method. The process of the Refuse-Derived-Fuel System is to add lime into the refuse, and solidify the mixture. The advantages of solidification of refuse are: it is easy to store for a long period, and thus effectively reuse the heat energy from refuse. As the combustion method is the main stream in treatment of refuse, the Refuse-Derived-Fuel System is a supplemental method. This report outlines the technology of the Refuse-Derived-Fuel System-its place among refuse treatment methods, varieties of the system, its popularization, and the application of the technology.
