Abstract

The leaching test has been widely used for evaluating the toxicity of solid waste. From the technical standpoint, it generally consists of two parts.

One is the leachate preparation process and another is the leachate toxicity evaluation process. The latter process is the main focus of this paper. The availability of bioassays as supplementary methods for analytical solid waste toxicity evaluation and future investigations on this subject are also discussed.
