Abstract

Over the decade, we have seen dramatic changes in the way many corporations and other organizations address their environmental pollution and risks.

In this article, we try to find that quality management in the firm was transformed from mass inspection into a portion of the total quality management (TQM), and that TQM has the possibility of making profitable environmental management feasible. Related topics such as the International Standard of Quality (ISO9000 series) and Environment (ISO14000 series), a regulation which could spur environmental innovation, as well as the Malcolm Baldridge Award, are discussed.

Key words: quality control, Total Quality Management (TQM), Total Quality Environmental Management (TQEM), ISO9000s, ISO14000s
