A Study of Public Opinion Concerning Municipal Policy of Sorted Waste Collection and Waste Reduction

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate public opinion concerning municipal policy of stored waste collection and waste reduction. Middle aged housewives were surveyed by questionnaire. The results were as follows,
1) People who wished to increase the number of items sorted though there were too few currently stored items, and that waste plastics were incinerated in their municipality.
2) The acceptable number of stored items was about seven.
3) A majority of the people surveyed thought the policy of waste reduction should include two aspects, one was producer responsibility and the other was human education. Living environment and their awareness of environmental change were affected their opinions for municipal policy.
