Abstract
The use of domestic disposals in Japan not only as an isolated system, but in conjunction with wastewater treatment basins as a system for reducing environmental load has been approved since 1998. Model disposal wastewater is necessary in order to evaluate and develop domestic disposals combined with wastewater treatment systems, because the composition of raw garbage found in actual domestic wastewater is so complex. A standard load unit for kitchen wastewater containing raw garbage ground by domestic disposals was determined by literature and field surveys. The composition of the design disposal wastewater was defined as the analysis results for the standard wastewater containing raw garbage. Influent patterns for kitchen wastewater containing disposal wastewater were also established by field surveys.
