Evaluation of Waste Management Planning

Abstract
Municipal Waste Management Plans are prepared by local governments to satisfy local requirements and to cope with various issues relating to landfilling, incineration and recycling, considering both national and prefectural master plans.
In this report, national and prefectural master plans regarding waste management are reviewed first. Secondly, process and evaluation methods in preparing Waste Management Plans are presented. Lastly, viewpoints in evaluating the Plan are categorised and corresponding evaluation items are examined.
