Ecological Design for Copy Machines

Abstract
Fuji Xerox established the Integrated Recycling System in 1997. The basic principles of this system are as follows:
1．Reduce input of new resources for the manufacturing process（by prioritizing parts reuse）.
2．Consider used machines to be valuable resources, not waste（by recovery of original materials through the material recycling process）.
This document reports on the fundamental policies of the Integrated Recycling System including Life Cycle Product Plan, Design Methods for Parts-Reuse, Environment Load Reduction, Environmental Product Assessment, and Zero-Landfill. The purpose for this system is to maintain a healthy global environment which can be left to future generations.
