Call for the Special Issue of “Mercury cycles and its management”

The Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management (IF 3.579 as of 2021) which is the peer-reviewed journal of the Japan Society of Material Cycles and Waste Management(JSMCWM) and the Korea Society of Waste Management(KSWM),is currently running a Specia Issue entitled” Mercury cycles and its management”. Prof. Masaki Takaoka (Kyoto University), Dr. Kenichi Nakajima (National Institute for Environmental Studies), Dr. Akinori Takeuchi (National Institute for Environmental Studies), Prof. Misuzu Asari (Kyoto University) and Prof. Reiko Sodeno (Shibaura Institute of Technology) are serving as responsible editors for this issue. We expect you could make an excellent contribution based on your expertise and recent achievements in following areas;
[1] Mercury cycles in the environment
[2] Advanced analysis technologies of mercury
[3] Innovative mercury reduction proctices and technologies in products or manufacturing processes
[4] Mercury flow analysis
[5] good collection and recovery of mercury waste
[6] Advanced mercury emission and/or release control technologies
[7] Long term safe management of mercury waste
[8] New policy and legal framework of mercury management

JMCWM is currently running a special issue entitled Material Cycles toward Carbon Neutral Society.This special issue will explore the contributions achieving the net zero emission in material cycles and waste management sector. We expect excellent contributions based on your expertise and recent achievements in the following areas:
[1] Innovative technological development contributing to decarbonization
[2] System analysis on carbon neutral society, including material flow analysis and life cycle assessment
[3] Material cycles and waste management strategy from mid- to long-term perspectives
