The Japan Society of Material Cycles and Waste Management (JSMCWM) is the leading Japanese academic society for sustainable resource and waste management, with more than 2,000 individual and organizational members. JSMCWM is internationally open and extends invitation to experts world-wide to join the Society.
Mission
Our mission is to contribute to sustainable resource and waste management by promoting the systematization of knowledge and by playing a leading role in society from an academic standpoint. We will
- actively disseminate information, raise issues, and make proposals to the society
- contribute to the society as a comprehensive academic society oriented towards practical learning based on a broad academic foundation, with the participation of citizens and a variety of other actors
- develop international partnerships among academic communities and strive for mutual leraning
